Security guard shot at Midtown Tulsa car wash dies, police searching for suspect - kjrh.com

TULSA -- Tulsa Police have identified a man shot and killed at a midtown Tulsa car wash Sunday morning.

Police say 42-year-old Norman Huntley died Monday afternoon after being transported to the hospital for gunshot wounds to the torso.

Police say Sunday, a group of men were leaving the Route 66 Event Center near 11th and South Sheridan around 4 a.m.

Officers say the men went to a white Mercedes that was parked at the car wash next to the event center.

According to police, a woman at the event center told a security guard that one of the men in the group took her property.

Security confronted the group and a fight started. One of the men then started shooting at security guards and hit one of the guards multiple times.

The suspect and his group fled the scene. This is Tulsa's 55th homicide of 2016.
