    1. When did you join the Paladin family?

I joined the Paladin family March 2015, after learning more about Paladin’s industry-leading corporate culture and approach to quality service for clients.

    1. Which department do you work in?

I lead our Investigations Department. Paladin’s Investigations Department offers clients a diverse and experienced team of industry experts. We offer services such as surveillance, under-cover operations, and back ground investigations.  We specialize in providing our clients with real-time information which allows them to make more informed and strategic decisions for their organizations.  We provide services to all of our security clients as well as industries such as insurance, regulatory compliance, legal, law enforcement, various corporations as well as government and private business.

Paladin prides itself on providing quality service and our team has organically grown due to the support of all departments, ensuring we are meeting all of our clients’ needs from a full-service approach.

It’s an exciting time for the company as we continue to grow from coast to coast. Due to the strong corporate culture and full-service offerings, our requests for investigative services has increased in the Prairie and eastern Canada regions. We are excited to be in the process of expanding our Calgary and Toronto departments.

    1. Why did you get into the security industry & why Paladin?

My journey within the security industry began in high school when I participated in a co-op program. The program engaged students with many facets of security; I was drawn to the depth of investigations.

After high school I became a surveillance operative, conducting surveillance on various individuals and specializing in insurance, long-term disability investigations, and corporate intelligence. Over the years, I continued to evolve my skills as a background investigator using open-source analysis, cyber research and conducting interviews and interrogations.

When I learned about Paladin’s corporate culture, branding, and national reach, I knew it would be a great fit for me. Paladin offers a full-service approach for clients which aligns with services I provide.

    1. What interests you most about your job?

No single assignment is ever the same and every day is different. I enjoy dealing with different types of clients who are often in very different markets.

    1. What advice would you give anyone entering the security industry today?

The best advice I can give is do your research. Learn as much as you can about the industry and what it can offer you. Whether through school, a mentor, or workplace experience, you can gain substantial knowledge as you begin your career.

Paladin has built relationships with local Universities to engage students for practicum experiences. This relationship gives you the opportunity to gain industry-leading training and hands on experience as you grow your skills.  It also allows us to be exposed to future investigators and leaders who are about to enter the marketplace.

    1. How do you maintain a healthy work-life balance?

My four year old daughter and all of her many interests brings me balance. Family time is very important to me, even if I am always on call.
